About the founder
Dr. Megan Gottschalk
Bradford's Second Chance Rescue was founded in honor of Brad (aka Bradford), the worlds most amazing dog. Brad was dealt a tough hand - from originally being found as a stray in Camden County New Jersey to being shuffled around homes for numerous reasons until he found his permanent home at 7 years old.
Our Story
Dr. Gottschalk had always loved rescue and shelter medicine, but the bond they formed changed her forever. She knew her calling was to spend her life helping animals like him get another chance.
Our Adventures
Brad had accompanied her through her Master's and Doctorate degree, moving to 4+ states, 2 cross country road trips and countless adventures together. Brad also lead by example- being the best foster brother over 50+ animals before his passing in December of 2024.
