Volunteer Opportunities
- Fostering - this is our most needed opportunity as we are 100% foster based, so the more foster homes we have, the more animals we can save. All supplies (food, bowls, toys, crates, etc) are included!
- We do ask that you are able to bring them once a week (usually Saturdays) to adoption events, if you cannot then all you need to do is coordinate with us to arrange transport of the pet
- We will also communicate with you if any veterinary care is needed after placed in foster - all animals are dewormed and vaccinated upon intake, but sometimes spay/neuter can take a few weeks to schedule.
- We ask fosters to be able to commit to 2-3 weeks minimum (although sometimes shorter timeframes are needed).
- Dog Day Dates - Want to volunteer with the dogs hands on but can’t foster? This one is for you! Pick one of our dogs up from their fosters and take them on an adventure - from the Vancouver waterfront to a little hike up on the mountain, getting the pups out in public with their adopt me gear on helps a ton!
- Transport - most of the dogs we get are from Eastern Washington (Tri-cities/Yakima areas) and we are always in need of people to drive out there and bring these pups back to Vancouver!
- Handlers - Want to hang out with some adoptable pups at adoption events or fundraisers? We are always looking for people to help out at these events.
- Fundraising/adoption help - We are always looking for more places (Brewery’s, restaurants with pet friendly patios, events, etc) to hold adoption and fundraising events. Help us spread the word while you’re out in town!
